Rami
was educated in India where he studied medicine. He came to England
in 1966 to continue his education and obtained his Fellowship of the
Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
He served in the National Health Service
as a General Practitioner, Hospital Practitioner in General Surgery
and Urology. He claims to have performed over 5,000 vasectomies
and looked inside over 10,000 bladders. Rami's special interests
include treatment of erectile dysfunction. Rami met and married
Jenny, the mother of their two children.
He is a keen Rotarian
and has served his club as President and his Rotary district as Governor.
Rami has been GP Tutor for Nottingham University giving lectures, organising
conferences and seminars.
Rami lists his hobbies
as travel, writing, golf and he is an avid cricket follower. He
talks humorously about his experiences as an Indian in England, the
idiosyncrasies of the English language, his travels and his experiences
as a Doctor. He enjoys the challenge of adapting his speeches
to his audience.
He has nearly won his
battle against anorexia !
