Vince Powell is one of Britain's leading comedy writers and over the past thirty years has created and written many highly successful comedies for television including .... George and the Dragon; Never Mind the Quality Feel the Width; Nearest and Dearest; For the Love of Ada; Love They Neighbour; Bless this House; Spring and Autumn; Mind Your Language; Young at Heart; Never the Twain .... to name but a few. In addition, Vince was a member of the original writing team for Coronation Street, Comedy Adviser to Thames Television for eight years and is currently the Programme Associate for London Weekend Television's Blind Date and Surprise Surprise!
During his many years working in the entertainment industry, Vince has met and mingled with many celebrities - he shared cocktails with Noel Coward, Dom Perignon with Cilla Black, and fish and chips with Morecambe and Wise. His talks, in which he recounts stories and anecdotes about the stars he has worked with, have been hilariously received wherever he has appeared.
