Jenny had a peripatetic childhood, and after boarding school in Shropshire and catering college in Essex she began cooking in London for amongst others, Lord Rothermere at Associated Newspapers, the chairman of The London Electricity Board and various City Livery Halls. Moving on to become catering manager, mostly at merchant banks, and then as a free-lance consultant, with various clients including, Prue Leith and Pret-a-Manger. Jenny then moved to Cornwall for ten years, where she got very involved with fish, started teaching/demonstrating, testing recipes for cookery books, and also taking on adhoc live-in jobs for private clients and members of the aristocracy in the UK and Europe.
