Les Scott is a former teacher turned writer and broadcaster. He worked as a presenter and producer in BBC local radio and has written extensively for the press radio, TV and the theatre as well as appearing as a stand-up comedian in comedy clubs and on theatre tours.

He is widely regarded as one of the best sports writers in the country having collaborted on the autobiographies of over a dozen sporting legends including Sir Stanley Matthews, George Best, Jimmy Greaves and Freddie Truman and, in 2008, has two sports books and a novel published under his own name.
